TARGET UNITED CUP IS COMING TO DELAWARE
NOVEMBER 10-11, 2018
The US Youth Soccer Target United Cup provides recreational youth soccer players with an opportunity to experience a consistent, high quality tournament, in a fun- family oriented atmosphere. This program stimulation and excitement about soccer in an effort to increase the recreational players interest in and love for the game.
The Target United Cup was initiated and organized to enhance the accomplishments of recreational players. The development of all players within US Youth Soccer is advanced when the player meets personal challenges. The Target United Cup is designed to encourage and honor the recreational player by allowing the player to compete for both team and personal goals. This tournament is structured so that, regardless of ability, all players can realistically strive for the goal of being a champion.
The Target United Cup philosophy rests in granting all players equal opportunities and benefits within their level of play in the sport of soccer. All players have the right to participate in the game in order to develop and exhibit their skills while enjoying themselves. The Target United Cup format provides recreational players with a developmental opportunity by emphasizing, as opposed to competition in a family-centered environment.
Delaware Youth Soccer Association will host the Target United Cup along with the DE Rush on November 10 & 11, 2018. All games will be held at Smith Estates in Hockessin, DE. (NO CARDED PLAYERS MAY PARTICIPATE) All teams participating, must be a member in good standing, with their state association.
- US Youth Soccer will be in attendance and will be providing each player with a goody bag.
- The Target United Village will be on site and include-
- Tide Wash Agents and Stain Treatment Tent
- Family Patio: fan GIF booth, free snacks/drinks, shaded seating
- Celebration zone: which includes a backdrop for team/individual photos
- Soccer playground:which includes soccer pool and the challenge wheel and the
- Field Experience: which includes hydration stations, hospitality ambassadors and sun police
This event is for boys’ and girls’ recreational teams in the U8, U10, U12, U14 and U19 age groups. Co-ed teams will play with the boys. Boys teams will play on Saturday, November 10 and girls on Sunday, November 11. Games could begin as early as 8 AM. Each age group will be limited to 8 teams.
U8 and U10 age groups will play a festival format. All participants will receive a participation award. U12, U14 and U19 age groups will play for a champion. Cost per team is $175.00.
