US Youth Soccer President's Cup
The US Youth Soccer President's Cup is a National Championship tournament that was designed for those teams looking to play against teams of similar abilities for a national championship title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to US Youth Soccer teams from the state to regional to national level. The Presidents Cup gives players an additional opportunity to compete against teams from across the country at a high level for the joy and the challenge of the game. It provides the chance to experience a unique US Youth Soccer event with camaraderie, community and competition through sport.
Representative teams that are registered with the Delaware Youth Soccer Association will compete for a chance to represent Delaware at the regional competition May 24-26, 2014 at Slippery University in Slippery Rock, PA.
Regional qualifiers, known as US Youth Soccer Regional President's Cup events, will determine the teams competing in the US Youth Soccer President's Cup. Finals will be held in South Carolina in July 2014.
This competition is not for teams that expect to advance in the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
Cup Format: Teams U12 to U17, both boys and girls may enter the competition. State Cup Champions from 2013 will not be eligible to participate.
Application Fee: The cost is $500.00 per team to enter. Age groups that have more than one team will play each other to determine a champion to advance to PA West.
The US Youth Soccer Competition Team Eligibility: Only a US Youth Soccer organization member can apply to compete in the Region I Presidents Cup. A team cannot be sponsored by a US Youth Soccer Member. Any US Youth Soccer club or organization that attempts to sponsor a non US Youth Soccer team is subject to disciplinary action and dismissal of the sponsored team.
Age Groups: Under 12 (8 v 8), Under 13, Under 14, Under 15, Under 16, & Under 17 both Boys and Girls.
Rosters: Rosters for teams participating in the Presidents Cup will not be frozen until the teams State Association freezes rosters for National Championship play or 72 hours before first Presidents Cup game, whichever comes first.
Guest Players: Guest Players will NOT be allowed on any teams participating in the Region I Presidents Cup competition at any level.
Referee Fees: The three (3) referee system will be used for all games. Fees are paid by Region 1.
Forfeit Fees: Any team forfeiting a Regional Final or sub group game will be fined $500 per game and will also pay the entire referee fee of the forfeited game or games.

Deadline: The deadline to register is December 15, 2013. Teams will be notified by December 31, 2013 if there are other teams entered in their age group.
Game Availability: All accepted teams must make themselves available for ALL Presidents Cup Games. Game schedules will be published by the Cup Administrator and will not be changed within 72 hours of the start of the scheduled match.
Fines: Teams must recognize that the Region I Presidents Cup Teams that withdrawal from the regional or National Event 30 days before the event will be fined $1500. Teams that withdraw 5 days or less prior to the event will be fined $3000. Teams are expected to play the published Presidents Cup schedule in preference to any other league competition in which they may be entered. This requirement also applies to tournaments that the team may enter. If your team is not prepared to play the published Cup schedule, your team should not enter the Presidents Cup.
